Description and
type: By asphalted road in the direction of the Airport, and just after San
Jordi take a side-road on the left which leads in the direction of the Canal.
Continue along this road up to Kilometre 4, where you take the tower-off to Es
Cavallet, clearly indicated.
Means of
transport: By private car. By bicycle is not too taxing and there is a
bicycle-lane specially marked. A bus service to Salinas beach exists, with a
bus-stop at the intersection with the road to Es Cavallet.

kilometres from Ibiza, 24.5 from San José.
Description: A
long open beach with extensive vegetation typical of beaches and sands.
Length: 1.1 kilometres · Width: 30-40 meters
Composition: The entire beach is composed of very fine white sand of natural
origin. On the southern flank there are rocky corners with inlets and natural
swimming pools.
Sea bottom: Predominantly sandy, with some interesting rocky outcrops. good
for diving practice. The shallow depth extends some way out, providing secure
bathing conditions. At a certain depth, submarine vegetation appears.
Direction, prevailing winds: The beach's easterly orientation provides
moderate breezes from this direction. always from the sea.
Panoramic aspects: It is located close to the Salinas salt-lagoons, with their
recognised scenic interest and colonies of wild sea birds and where the
typical structures and constructions relating to salt-flats can be seen. There
are a number of paths among the pines and evergreen vegetation, typical of the
island.
SUMMARY COMMENT: An area of interest for those wishing to practise nudism,
with numerous corners for sunbathing on the sands of the beach and with a
multitude of options for practising aquatic sports, together with
possibilities for walks in the adjoining areas, admiring the zone's
distinctive natural beauty. |
