Description and
type: Along the tarmaced streets which lead to the promenade. It is situated
right in front of the mouth of the river.

transport: From the town it can be reached by car, or on foot or by bicycle
given its closeness to the centre.

kilometres from Ibiza, 0.5 kilometres from Santa Euiaria.
Description: A
spit of land made from sand deposited by the river.
Length: 350 metres - Width: 10 metres .
Composition: Formation of two inlets, one of fine white sand and the other of
gravel originating from the river, separated by a rise of stones.
Sea bottom: Also of sand and graveI, with rocky zones and some underwater
vegetation. As regards gradient, this is somewhat sharp, reaching 1 metre in
depth only 7 metres from the shore and two metres 15 metres out.
Direction, prevailing winds: The winds are mainly from the south, permitting
the practice of sailing sports with the security of having the wind from the
sea to the land.
Panoramic aspects: It is possible to carry out interesting explorations along
the edges of the river mouth.
SUMMARY COMMENT: The site's natural conditions make it the destination for
lovers of sport, but also for those who want a beach of good quality close at
hand with services nearby, namely those of the town itself. |
